Shots fired in Sunrise while FBI agents attempt to serve warrant – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports


A shooting investigation is currently underway in Sunrise.

A heavy police presence could be seen in the area of Northwest 44th Street near Nob Hill Road, at around 6 a.m., Tuesday.

According to Sunrise Fire Rescue, FBI agents were serving a warrant when shots rang out.

At least one person has reportedly barricaded themselves inside of a home in the area.

One person was also seen being escorted from a home into an ambulance on a stretcher.

7SkyForce hovered over the scene where dozens of police cruisers could be seen along Nob Hill Road.

A Broward Sheriff’s Office helicopter is also on the ground.

Both northbound and southbound lanes between Nob Hill Road and Oakland Park Boulevard have been shut down.

It remains unclear if anyone was injured in the shooting.
