FDOH reports over 7,000 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

(WSVN) – There have now been more than 1.8 million reported cases of the coronavirus in Florida, with 29,311 deaths.

As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Florida Department of Health reported 1,844,627 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, an increase of 7,342 from Tuesday’s update.

The state also reported a single-day increase of 157 deaths.

There are now 397,226 total confirmed cases in Miami-Dade County and 186,831 total cases in Broward.

The total number of cases in Palm Beach County has now reached 115,794, and 5,626 total cases have been reported in Monroe County.

The state also reported a positivity rate of 6.42%.

Health officials reported 76,825 hospital admissions statewide.
